Parka type coat for DH

Allegorical · 17/11/2019 08:07

Dh wants a warm parka type coat that is also waterproof. He wants it to be reasonably stylish with a hood, maybe with fur trim.
Not full on “dad coat” technical. Not chavvy. He normally dresses slightly preppy, think Reiss, the kooples, bit of joules, french connection, all saints, in a colour palate of grey, navy and blue and not much else.
I have a budget of about £350. I am out of my comfort zone. I have no idea what brands are “chavvy” and “dad wear”. I looked at Canada goose but then saw the prices!!!! Would prefer no dead animals too! Any ideas people?

North face is a cheaper option but similar to Canada goose.
I've got a superdry one but that's probably too 'chavvy' for you Grin.
My husband has a Schott one which is lovely.

Will look up Schott thanks. He won’t wear Superdry or north face!!! He is very fussy!

Fur trim? Urgh! Now that's chavvy.

What about this from Finisterre?

My husband got a great coat from tk Maxx there were loads of different styles and price ranges to choose from

Parajumpers? Might be pricier but look good.

My husband was very excited on the first day that it was cold enough to put on his didrikson. I'm not sure he's as stylish as you but they do a lot of styles and they are amazing winter coats. I think I paid about £150.

I’m not massively stylish!!! But dh takes his style seriously. He has takes up more of the wardrobe than me!!!

Ps I showed him the paratroopers and finisterre brands and he seems to approve of these. Maybe I will avoid the fur hood! Men’s clothes are a minefield!
