Hairdryer recommendations

Can anyone recommend a hairdryer? I have a Mark Hill one and love it but it has destroyed my hair. It was cheap and cheerful and powerful but feel like it's singed as my hairdresser keeps saying it's the top layer of my hair that is in bad condition and the underneath is ok.

If damage is your concern you could try the Dyson. It’s supposed to be better for your hair but is £300. I love mine.

Don’t know but I hate how the cable on mine gets so twisted. So I’d buy one with a swivelling cable.

Parlux all the way. Pricey but they last for ages and they don’t ruin your hair.

carrottopper · 16/11/2019 20:57

Parlux- which one? Just googled and not as pricy as the dyson.

I'd love a dyson but can justify the price at the moment.

Every time we get this question , which is very frequently, the most popular answer is Parlux. Gets my vote .

Thank you. My hair is frazzled!

Which parlux?

Parlux or GHD

However if it’s the top of your hair that’s burning then I would considering how you are drying your hair. If you’re not one for a proper blow dry finish and like to blast it all, make sure you distribute the heat more evenly, and even turn the temp down.

If you use straighteners, be careful. Most folks straighten their hair quickly clamping the viewable parts

I have the The Parlux 3800 Ceramic Ionic.

afrikat · 16/11/2019 23:02

I recently got the Parlux Alyon Light Air Ioniser Dryer and its absolutely brilliant. My previous Parlux lasted 11 years so I am happy to pay for the quality

Can anyone recommend a good diffuser drier? Mine has packed up and I have naturally frizzy/curly hair.

carrottopper · 20/11/2019 22:43

On a side note, how do these new hairdryers that promise to not harm hair, work? Surely heat damages hair

OP posts:
ReeRi · 21/11/2019 17:07

They use less heat / lower temp probably

NowWhatUsernameShallIHave · 30/11/2019 04:29

If you’re hair is damaged I really would recommend the dyson

OldSpeclkledHen · 30/11/2019 07:01

Dyson

Elowyn · 30/11/2019 08:20

Love my Dyson. I also spray my hair lightly with Art Naturals Thermal Shield beforehand, think it helps

Paddingtonthebear · 30/11/2019 08:21

Parlux
