Not my style, but I wouldn't say there's too much clashing here.

JoJoSM2 · 16/11/2019 13:28

Not my style either but I wouldn’t think ‘what the hell is she wearing’. It looks ok.

SheisMammyof2 · 16/11/2019 13:30

I think it looks fine.

MadnessInMethod · 16/11/2019 14:48

It doesn't look awful but I do I think it needs a plain top.

Where's the skirt from? It's lovely.

Majorcollywobble · 16/11/2019 14:50

It looks fine !

Igottastartthinkingbee · 16/11/2019 14:51

They’re ok together but probably I’d put a plain top with the skirt or wear smart jeans with the top. Sorry not helpful!

theendoftheendoftheend · 16/11/2019 14:52

I love it, just the perfect amount of 'clash'.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/11/2019 15:11

I like both pieces but probably wouldn't pair them. Having said that, I wouldn't think twice if I s aw anybody else doing so.

applesandacorns · 16/11/2019 15:51

I don't love it, but it's okay to wear out.

CountFosco · 16/11/2019 15:54

I like the pattern clashing. Nice outfit.

Loveagoodbook · 16/11/2019 15:56

Thanks everyone, im just stuck on what to wear without spending mega money!

You can get a fine knit black polo from Tesco / primark / next for about a tenner which would work much better . I like the skirt though or the top with black jeans ?

simplekindoflife · 16/11/2019 16:09

Nice skirt! Not keen on to the top with it though. I think it'd look better with a strappy black cami top tucked in. You can get one from Primark for about £5.

BeFire · 16/11/2019 16:21

It looks fine together but if you want a plain top I bought a mock neck plain black ribbed long sleeve top in Primark...£2.80, kids department Grin . I'm a 10-12 normally and the 12-13 is a lovely fit.

Fidgety31 · 16/11/2019 16:31

I think the spotted top is too much with the patterned skirt . One or the other would look better plain

sonjadog · 16/11/2019 16:32

It´s okay, but do you have other plain black tops that you could try out with it?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 16/11/2019 17:55

I think it would work with a wide black patent belt, if you can get hold of one. It would break up the clash just enough.

Letthemysterybe · 16/11/2019 18:07

I wouldn’t buy a crappy black top from Primark. I think it looks nice. And it’s much more fashionable to create an outfit from clothes that you already have rather than buy a cheap top that you’ll wear once 😉

dontgobaconmyheart · 16/11/2019 18:59

I think it looks fine OP, not setting the world alight but not noticeably awful norwhat I'd choose to put with the skirt but I do quite like the jumper on it's own (unhelpful). Agree that a plain top would potentially work better but it depends on your general style/shoes etc

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/11/2019 00:28

Must admit that I think a patent belt would be awful, and really cheapen it.

Have you not got a plain black top?

legoiseverywhere · 17/11/2019 00:39

I don't think the pattern is the problem but the mix of textures, is the top a knit? it's looks too heavy for the skirt.

StarlightLady · 17/11/2019 04:00

They look OK but I think you could do better. Have you got a plain white top, maybe with a round neck to go with the skirt?
