Is there such a thing as cool leg warmers (not the Jane Fonda kind!) that do actually keep you warm and are neutral enough to go with lots of outfits.

Have I woken up in 1983?

I'm trying to reclaim leg warmers from the '80s. They will be cool again!

You know, I was actually thinking I’d like some legwarmers. I’ve got several pairs of very chunky slouchy socks, and I really like the look of them showing between boots and jeans. But they’re so chunky they’re a bit tight inside the boots. Legwarmers would give the same look but without squeezing your feet.

I love them!

I have a red pair and a turquoise pair from American Apparel before they went from the UK. I lament them because of coloured opaque tights and all manner of colourful accessories to match (tights same colour as leggings.

I desperately want to wear leg warmers but chicken out of buying some.

I've just got a pair of these. They're merino wool - so warm (but still quite thin) and lovely to wear, and they've got a 'scrunchy' bit at the top that looks like leg warmers when pushed down over the top of an ankle boot. I think they'll get a lot of wear with skinny jeans (I know, not cool!) and dr martens this winter.

I have plain black for when I'm out walking. They look like long socks 🤷‍♀️
Mind you, everything else I wear out walking is black too so they sort of blend in

Warm legs without constricting feet

I've never stopped wearing them in winter. (Since the 80's 🤫) I have had random people ask where i get them, my nan knitted me loads, so I now say that they are vintage 😂 I have made some myself for friends though in the past.

I think that, if you wanna live forever, you just have to commit.

Sorry that was cheap. But more seriously I don't think half measures are possible here. Just do it. Ballet wraps are around again so you may find you're a trailblazer.

I've got a couple of pairs of chunky grey ones. Love 'em but only ever wear them for going for a walk.

I'm going to an 80s revival night (alternative music only though) this eve so also trying to think of what to wear to that! I'm going backwards in time as the present is so challenging

OMG ballet wraps, really? I had a black one from Warehouse, god I LOVED it.

Maybe they are making a comeback- I crochet and we've recently had loads of orders for ankle boot cuffs / ankle warmers which are similar to leg warmers. They make a real difference to how warm my feet and ankles are!

They've arrived and i love my new leg warmers from. Uniqlo. They're stylish and understated and toasty

I wore leg warmers yesterday! I think they just look like fluffy socks and by jove they do keep you warm!

Yes. Turtle Doves do some wonderful leg warmers from recycled cashmere.
They are on my wish list for Christmas.
