Are these fugly?

I love these but I can't quite explain why. I'm bored of wearing my kitten heeled ankle boots with everything but wonder if these are the answer?

I love them too. I have a very similar pair from Dune, I think they are funky & wear them with my knee length pencil skirt for work.

hazandduck · 14/11/2019 20:48

Love them, OP! I quite like ‘fugly’ shoes though. Now kitten heels on the other hand should be sent to room 101!

goose1964 · 14/11/2019 20:51

I think they're fine in their place, you would be able to walk through puddles and not get wet😊

Craftycorvid · 14/11/2019 20:56

Yep, I’d wear them. Would probably do the DM version though (and frequently do). Ebay’s good for bargainous Doc Martens. I’ve a pair of rainbow hued ankle boots that would be highly outing should I post a picture Grin

Time40 · 14/11/2019 21:11

Yes, they are fugly. And ugly. And all the other kinds of absolutely horrible that anyone could think of.

But then, I love kitten heels, so I'm not the person to ask.

LimitIsUp · 14/11/2019 22:51

Post what you like TSSDNCOP - I have no intention of trying to police this or any other thread, but by the same token, I'll post what I want to which includes commenting that I find your post disagreeable.

....and if you are interested (I suspect not - but here goes anyway) the reason I took issue with your remark is because sometimes people just wear what feels right for them, because it feels comfortable, right and just fits (not literally) - and this has bugger all to do with wanting to appear alternative / "mad"/ eccentric etc. Some people actually dress for themselves and not to make an impression on others. I found your observation mean spirited

TSSDNCOP · 14/11/2019 23:34

Which is all fine. EXCEPT we were asked for opinions and I gave mine. You may not like it, but last time I looked we do still live in a country with free speech. Wear what you like, I don’t care. But ask me if I like it, and if I don’t I won’t say so just because you say I mustn’t. Those shoes are nasty, fugly, shines, cheap and will make the wearer feet sweat. And even if they’re the trendiest shoes on the high street this season they are still in the the Mad Me go to wardrobe.

LimitIsUp · 14/11/2019 23:45

You're being obtuse - I didn't suggest that you should say you like the shoes when you clearly don't

justilou1 · 14/11/2019 23:47

Yep! And I love them.

TSSDNCOP · 14/11/2019 23:56

No Limit, not obtuse. You’re saying I should say I don’t like something in a way that’s acceptable to you. If you like the cheap, nasty, sweaty feet shoes though knock yourself out.

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 15/11/2019 06:52

@LimitIsUp and @TSSDNCOP play nicely you two or you'll go on the naughty step!!
We're just here for the shoes

Just so you know OP, DMs now come in vegan!!!

SallyWD · 15/11/2019 07:11

I think they look great!

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 15/11/2019 07:41

@CoatTails I know some DMs are vegan but I couldn't see any Mary Janes when I looked. (Though tbf that was some time ago)

OP posts:
MoltonSilver · 15/11/2019 07:43

They're fugly bit at the same time strangely appealing. They're worth trying on.

ladyvimes · 15/11/2019 07:43

I love them! I’m in my thirties and not particularly trendy but I’d wear them!

fishonabicycle · 15/11/2019 07:47

I like them! Chunky is great.

tobee · 15/11/2019 15:56

I like them except not patent. But I'm probably wrong there. And that's the bit that's good!

MadamShazam · 15/11/2019 15:59

Love them! 😍

FadingStar · 15/11/2019 16:46

Not keen OP. I think your feet might get a lot of attention in them though!Grin

sonjadog · 15/11/2019 18:47

I like them a lot, but I am definitely a fan of clumpy shoes. I don´t do dainty and elegant footwear.

I would wonder about the quality though?

GooodMythicalMorning · 15/11/2019 18:48

horrible!
