I’m searching high and low for the above... can anyone help? Does this coat exist?

Landsend??

Notcontent · 22/11/2019 23:02

I found one at j crew but I am not sure if I like it or if it’s frumpy...

I currently have a Uniqlo parka that is mid thigh and it looks a bit odd with skirts etc.

BesselVanDerKolk · 22/11/2019 23:09

Have a look on the Seasalt website - plant hunter or Janelle are long length parkas.

Heymummee · 22/11/2019 23:18

I’ve got my eye on this at the moment, is this the type you’re looking for?

Thanks for all your suggestions!

I’ve been trawling through the Land’s End website for weeks as they seem like the best option for petites and have a good reputation for warmth! Annoyingly the knee-length one that I like is down-filled and the non down one I also like is only thigh length...

I’ve looked on Seasalt and all the petites are sold out.

The Tarka looks nice and warm but I can’t tell from the pictures whether it’s thigh or knee length. The John Lewis one looks nice but probably not warm enough!

NotContent I know what you mean. I have been wearing a North Face jacket for years - really warm & waterproof but I can’t wear it with long cardigans or dresses and mid thigh down I am freezing and keep getting soaked this year.

I fancy a walking duvet this year but fear I will be swamped and look like a child!!

I found my landesnd one on EBay bizarrely - BNWT. That one is calf length. My knee length one is randomly from TKMaxx, just tried loads on and it's a good fit despite being 5' and works great with all my dresses.

MyIncapableOne · 23/11/2019 11:26

Thanks RandomMess I’m
also 5ft, so good to know there are coats out there. What brand is your TKMaxx one? And which LandsEnd one did you get?

I have no idea tbh landsend is 5 years old. I ordered a few and it was the least ugly/most fitted 😂

Jessica Simpson 🤷🏽‍♀️ for TKMaxx one

MyIncapableOne · 23/11/2019 12:12

😂 will keep an eye out! Is the Jessica Simpson one warm?

I have this one which comes just above my knee at 5'9. Warm and waterproof.

ErrolTheDragon · 23/11/2019 12:51

The main reason, IME, for needing petite fitting in coats isn't so much the overall length, it's the sleeve length.

RandomMess · 24/11/2019 12:52
Blush

So my Landsend one is feather and down, alas no reference to style name on it.

It's my depths of winter 🥶 dog walking coat, complete with year old bag of kibble in the pocket.

cannonball8726 · 24/11/2019 16:18

Just ordered the Lands End petite squall coat. They have 40% off at the mo. Hoping it's the one!

MyIncapableOne · 06/12/2019 16:04

@cannonball8726 how did you get on with the Squall? I’m still undecided!

I like it! I'm 5'1 and it comes just above the knee for me. I am a Size 10 and ordered a Small but should have ordered Extra Small I think - it runs a bit big. But I was a bit too lazy to send it back and figured it's helpful for layers anyway. It's also a really good price given the quality. It's come in handy because the weather has been rubbish. Has anything taken your fancy?

I have Barbour one from the childs range. I think it is age 14.
