Shoes for tomorrow!

Am going to black tie do tomorrow, awful back problems so can't wear my lovely shoes anymore. Wearing a ... jumpsuit?! It's black, strappy, wide pants but 7/8ths length, with an embroidered overshirt .. I'm very happy that I'll look glam enough except I didn't ever think about shoes (it's been a while)... can't wear ballet flats any more either. I've a couple of hours free to shop. What shape works with wide ankle swingers (I'm size 14, 5'8" btw). Thank you.

How about some block heeled (small square heel) pointed toe shoes? I know Sainsburys have/had these types of shoe and Next. You could look for some jewelled ones which i have seen previously.

A wedge heel will probably be gentler on your back than heels.

Is there a lot of standing involved? Or a dinner?

It all went fine; I wore a pair of shoes I already had, a block heel, and decided I would keep an eye out for some new party/ smart shoes but meanwhile I had bigger fish to fry!
