Eye bag creams - Instantly ageless / my perfect eyes etc

I have really big tear trough type bags and I can't afford a more surgical / perminant solution at the moment as much as I'd love to.

I have used creams like Instatly Ageless and My beautiful eyes before and whilst they do improve the look of the bags it is pretty much impossible to wear makeup with them and they don't last all day as advertised.

Has anyone tried anything that might help me? It really gets me down having horrible saggy eyes all the time!

The only thing that's tightened my skin is retinol. I bought some oil off amazon for about £15 and it's been brilliant.

Can you afford tear trough filler rather than a permanent solution? It lasts 12-18 months and makes a huge difference.

sweetheart · 14/11/2019 15:13

Not really at the moment - how much are fillers? Still talking about £500 I'd guess

Yes about that. I’m seeing doctor next week and paying £395 but I’ve been quoted up to £600.

Dirty - please report back. I might be able to look into it next year but I caertainly can't aford it right now.

La Roche possay redermic eyes is your friend, really helped with bags and fine lines, I've been using it for about 5 years and has made quite a difference as it has retinol in.

@sweetheart
I will do! I’m a bit nervous but excited too.

Do you have hollow tear troughs or eye bags as the two are treated differently.

Ponks · 14/11/2019 22:34

How about a caffeine serum eg the Ordinary or Inkey List? I use TO one which is great for reducing puffiness so should help tighten the eye bags?

HelloAgainYou · 14/11/2019 22:37

Shamelessly placemarking as I can't stop thinking about how I'm going to fix mine. Mine are puffy/fatty. Any suggestions on how to treat? Would trough fillers work?

minipie · 14/11/2019 23:14

Marking too! Puffy here, I don’t think I have hollows if the bags were taken away.

sweetheart · 15/11/2019 09:26

I think I would say tear troughs over bags. I have dents that go in rather than puffy bits that bag out if that makes sense.

I have tried the caffine solution from the Ordinary but it did noting - again I think it's because I have lines / dents that go inwards rather than anything puffy that needs to be "de-puffed"
