I'm looking for a jumper dress, I'm not sure exactly how to describe the style I'm looking for, I guess sort of celtic style. I would prefer wool, wool/cashmere. I like a flared style, these seem difficult to find. I have attached a pic of one I found online, it's probably aimed at the tourist market! What do you think? It's about €100 and 100% merino wool. Awful? Grin Thanks!

Sorry to be the voice of dissent, but it's a no from me. It looks like something I would dress my (fictional) 6 year old daughter in.

@sonjadog I saw a few young wans in Dublin wearing a lot of tweedy stuff that we would never have worn in the 90s for fear of looking old-fashioned, but they were owning it. Time to take back the Aran styles from the US Irish I think!

@bigeegit that's very annoying about the VAT. I understand that they focus on the US market but still.

I think it’s beautiful

That Hollister one is cute, I have similar but in sweater form. I have never thought twice about wearing a nice cable knit geansaí as we call them here Wink

That's interesting, banivani. I am glad to hear younger Irsh people are reclaiming these styles.

There must be Ireland-based websites with similar styles. I have no suggestions off the top of my head, though. Anyone have any ideas?
