Large pores and blush

I love wearing (powder) blush but lately it doesn’t look so pretty on me anymore as it seems to get stuck the rather enlarged pores on my cheek (see photo). I wear concealer under it btw. I tried all different kind of blushes, from drugstore to Dior and have this problem with all of them.
I am starting to think that maybe the powder causes the pores to become larger?

Who else has had this problem and did you find a solution for it?

Do you use a primer, there are a few different types to target specific areas of concern. I usually use a mattifying one as I have oily skin but there are a few that are supposed to have a 'pore minimising' effect.

You could possibly try putting some translucent powder on before blusher and that might give a smoother appearance.

Thanks for the advice. I have used a primer in the past when I would only leave the house with a face full of foundation, effect short term was lovely indeed bit the unfortunate consequence was that a few days later I would get a breakout and so I stopped using them
