My husband is taking me out to celebrate my birthday next week. We are going for drinks in a fancy hotel followed by lunch in a nice restaurant. We are heading out around midday and won't be home too late due to having to be back for the kids. What kind of outfit should I go for? I don't want anything too sparkly/Christmassy. Everything I've seen is more aimed at the upcoming party season/night time wear. I'm 5ft 2 would like something I can wear either my new black sock boots with or tan brown knee boots. Thanks :-)
