marketing a new product

I am a teacher. Every teacher at our school has been asked to produce multiple choice questions for each of our lessons. This has placed a huge strain on everyone and substantially increased workload.
I wrote a small programme that facilitates this and saves, in the medium term (one year) many hours (up to 60-80 hours per year.

Everyone is bowled over with it and say that I should market it.

I am a teacher and know nothing about marketing. Does anyone have any ideas where I would start with this? I am nearing the end of my career and if this were something that could be marketed it could bolster my pension.

I'd leave that school for a start. Such demands on an already demanding job, and no doubt there'll be another inicainicativet soon to replace this one.
