Emergency lip advice - beginner level

I haven’t worn makeup for many many years. I have great skin, but pale and since I manage a skin condition on my body by avoiding products of any sort I just have cut it out and I was happy enough.

My lips are often dry and sore and there is definitely a lack of definition when I’m looking particularly washed out.

I need to improve this today - can I buy a lipstick and wear it without other makeup? Are there miracle products? Back in the day I would have filled in my entire lip with lipliner and put lipstick on top of that. Otherwise sought after definition would be lacking. A bit heavy though, if I’m not doing anywhere else?

If you get dry lips, I'd recommend that you buy a couple of products that deal with that first, as lipstick on its own can be drying and could make it worse.

I use a lip scrub to get rid of any flaky bits of skin, Lush do them and I'm currently using Body Shop Lipscuff which is nice. I also apply Blistex intensive moisturising repair overnight, it doesn't feel like a lip balm it's more like a cream and it's brilliant at this time of year.

A bit pricey, but I swear by Dior Lip Addict tinted lipbalms. They define my lips nicely, without creating a heavily made up look, perfect for everyday. The pigment lasts really well. I wear the original pink shade and it really is 'my lips but better'.
