Help! Lunch out today

Hello!

It is my birthday and my lovely DH has surprised me with lunch out at the Hand & Flowers pub. I've been wanting to go for ages, so this is so exciting.

What the devil do I wear though?

I have no time, so it has to be something I already have... I have these cropped trousers from Toast, which I could wear with a navy top / shirt and cardi? What on my feet though?

Alternatively, I have a mustardy, denin mini skirt or dress from Duns of Sweden, or even dungarees?

I am a size 16-18 (but have everything from 12s to 20s in my wardrobe) apple shape.

I'll attach the pics I have.

Cropped trousers and dungarees on me, the rest just on their own. Hope it is clear what's what.

I would go with a dress, thick tights and boots, chunky necklace and scarf and a warm coat.

Agreed not the dungarees. The dress looks nice!

It's a bit cold for cropped trousers. The dungarees look like you are about to do some decorating (sorry). The dress looks fine, and would be more comfortable if you have had a large lunch.

The way I think about what to wear is thinking about what I will be doing.....

Cocktail party......walking around and chatting, your shoes need to look good too.
Pub/restaurant lunch......sitting at a table and eating, your top half needs to look better as no one cares what’s on your feet.
Outside......waterproof and warm.

I like that navy dress with the planets! Not nude tights, though. What boots have you got? And try the gold necklace with it (although necklace might be too smart - see what you think).

The dress ooks more "going out to lunch" than the skirt.

I don't get the MN dislie of nude tights. I think the they look fine with the dress. IMO if you have nice legs you should show them off.

Actually I think the skirt and top would be better with navy tights. I also quite ike the planets dress though. Wear what you feel good in!
