What do you wear in winter apart from jeans?

I wear jeans pretty much every day, I practically live in them. I work at home so dress pretty casual and now it’s getting colder I’m defaulting to long sleeve t shirts and a hoodie to keep warm and it’s turning into a daily uniform!

I’m a size 8/10 and early 40s. The thing is I really feel the cold, which is why I end up wearing jeans as they’re nice and thick.

I really want to shake things up a bit as I’m bored of wearing the same thing, but apart from the school run and the childminders I’m not out that much so fairly casual. And work only see the top half of me on Skype! What can I wear instead?

A different colour or style of jeans might be enough of a shake up. Or maybe just change the tops.

Cords are cosy, warmer than jeans I find, and skirts with boots and thick tights. I still wear jeans the most though.

I have a couple of smock dresses that I wear with tights and Derby shoes and a cashmere cardigan.
Some velvet flares and a jumper with trainers.
Jeans - in lots of different shapes
A wool minidress
For work I can wear jeans and smarten it up with a shirt or blouse

For work-black skinny trousers (as similar to black jeans as I can get away with!) and boots or cord skirts/dresses and leggings (as tights-you literally only see a few inches at the knee and I find them warmer and more comfortable than tights) with boots.

At home-always jeans! I have lots of pairs of boots (and slippers that look like boots!). I personally really don’t like hoodies but I have loads of lovely jumpers so do tend to look different. I will bung a scarf on if I’m freezing as well.

Tights with skirt and polo jumper.
Trousers with blouse and cardigan.
Oversize woolly jumper with leggings and boots.

Thanks! I hadn’t considered cords. I haven’t found any dresses or skirts I really want to wear in this weather, maybe I’m not looking in the right places.
