Cropped trousers help

I've just bought these lovely thick wide leg trousers but I have no idea how to style them! I was thinking possibly with a turtle neck jumper. I'm in my 30s and average height and fairly slim. What would you wear them with shoe and top wise?

Crop sweatshirt or cardigan ?

At this time of year I wear mine with seventies style brown leather knee high boots and a short fluffy jumper usually.

Something boxy and simple on top (try Uniqlo). Either statement trainers or heals on the bottom

Agree a fitted top, nothing too fussy. A turtleneck would look great. Unfortunately, I always think cropped trousers only look great with bare feet as in the picture. So shoes are a problem.

Ooh they're nice! I would go fitted/ cropped too but I have seen other people wear more baggy stuff and look good. Footwear: longer boots or sock boots?
