Is anyone being pulled into Trinny makeup, stacks, items, products etc?

I am getting over involved in Trinny- she's all over and I am magnetically drawn to her site and have already spent too much. Im not so keen on the fashion/clothes thing but the makeup- and how she markets it has done the trick for me....

Miracle Blur ( or similar) is the latest 'must have' but I don't know anyone else who has purchased

Any opinions on quality and content??

I'm sorry to sound harsh but I think she looks absolutely dreadful and wouldn't buy anything she had put her name to, beauty-wise. Her plastic surgeon should be ashamed.

peaceanddove · 03/11/2019 14:35

Nanoblur does exactly the same as her Miracle Blur but is much cheaper.

JaneR0chester · 03/11/2019 14:41

I follow her on Instagram, she's quite compelling to watch.

But I don't have any of her products because I've only ever seen them featured on white women. I'm not white and I'm not confident the range will suit my colouring.

Also, she does have a lot of work done on her face, so the make up really is an addition to her look, rather than what makes her look good IMO.

Maybe if I had £200 to spend on a serum, I'd look that good too?! Or the light therapy mask, or the fillers, or the lashes etc..... not jealous, really

Yes, I agree, and actually there has been a bit of a thing about her lack of diversity ...and well directed criticism about her use of models. I just about fit into her 'palette' of olive/mediterranean range..

TW face is blotchy/red/patchy without makeup base on and to be fair she does a few shots of her naked skin and talks a lot about her past Acne scarring - so she must have had work done...she does have good clear features and i admit to being more than a bit envious!!

I have Miracle Blur and I find it does make a significant difference to the lines on my forehead. It's also good at mattifying.

I only use it on my forehead. I find it doesn't sit well if I use it on the lines around my eyes.

UpToonGirl · 03/11/2019 15:39

I don't have any OP but I'm also finding myself drawn in by the hype! I saw a pampered wolf YouTube video the other day featuring the products and it did tempt me, found myself on the trinny website but ultimately didn't get anything. I've been pulled in by the hype on so many products over the last few years that never work in the way I hope and the trinny stud was just a bit too much £ to waste (again!).

Considering I've just spent 80 quid on Opalex hair products, I am a marketer's dream!

RonaldMcDonald · 03/11/2019 15:44

I really like her make up products. I am pale blue.

Blackswan · 03/11/2019 16:45

I wouldn't buy a thing she put her name to.

TableNiner · 03/11/2019 17:01

I like watching her shop up, Trinny tribe and makeover videos as I think she does understand what suits people and why and she looks quite modern but still age appropriate and her enthusiasm for fashion is infectious.

But I am a bit dubious about the make up. Seems very overpriced and the sample of eyeshadow I looked at in Fenwicks was quite dried out. I think it may look OK just applied but not sure about durability and when she uses it, it always seems you need to mix several lip colours or whatever to achieve the look. I imagine you can get just as good from a line like NYX.

JessicaRarebit · 03/11/2019 17:14

I’m a bit Trinny obsessed too OP. She’s weird and whacky and we definitely wouldn’t be friends irl but she does brighten my mood with her eccentricity. I actually really love her style too although I wouldn’t be brave enough to wear half of it.

As for her make up I have bought a few bits; the eye serum/concealer is just ok imo, it’s very thin. I suffer with dark circles irrespective of how much sleep I’ve had so I need something thicker. Also bought her lip gloss stuff, it’s nice but probably not worth the £££ and I also bought an eyeshadow, empress I think which again is nice but quite pricey for what it was. The stacking concept is wonderful though. I think what I might do is use all of the product and then refill with non Trinny Branded stuff. I’d say for the prices you could have much higher end products for the same price with longer lasting results.

LemonPrism · 03/11/2019 19:43

I have my mum some that I was given (by Trinny I work in media) and she says it's great.

She didn't pay for it though so don't now if it's 'worth it'

LemonPrism · 03/11/2019 19:43

LashesZ · 03/11/2019 19:51

I absoloutley love Trinny and think she is a fab saleswoman. I don't like her style, I think the back to front trick looks daft.

I bought just a touch foundation, cheekbones in Kate and veebee lip 2 cheek. I love the concept. The foundation is just a cream foundation, meh. Cheekbones is really hard to blend. The lip to cheek is soooo drying on the lips and fades really quickly on the cheeks but love the concept so will investigate similar products. Overall they are quite drying and don't last long, but love the stack idea.

ittooshallpass · 16/11/2019 07:53

Has anyone bought the miracle blur and found it works around the eyes?

HundredMilesAnHour · 16/11/2019 12:57

I have Miracle Blur and I find it great for the lines (sob!) on my forehead but I find it clumps around my eyes so I don't use it there. Maybe the lines around my eyes are too fine for it, I don't know. It's a great forehead mattifier though. Smile

FadingStar · 16/11/2019 13:01

OP I have been so disappointed in Miracle Blur. It's useless rubbish. Filorga Time Filler and Kate Somerville Wrinkle Warrior are far, far better. Will never waste my money on Trinny again.

FadingStar · 16/11/2019 13:03

@ittooshallpass sorry I should have addressed you. Committed the cardinal sin on MN and didn't read the thread properly before I replied.

No there are MUCH better products out there. I bought into the hype and was underwhelmed to say the least.

OverByYer · 16/11/2019 13:08

I bought the bff cream and the just a touch.
I liked the bff cream but it doesn’t last long. I think I bought the wrong shade in the just a touch . I was tempted with the blushers but v expensive

CointreauVersial · 16/11/2019 13:32

I like the look of it, but wouldn't pay the prices. Not crazy about applying everything with fingers, either.

She's very entertaining on Instagram, though. And her daughter is just beautiful.

EdWinchester · 16/11/2019 13:39

I vaguely know one of the women she has in her promotion gang.

Her makeup always looks bloody awful, so it's a no from me.
