Boots/shoes for 14 yr old girl

Has anyone any idea where to get fashionable boots or shoes for winter that a teenage girl might be willing to wear? SD14 insists on wearing trainers all the time with everything and has hated everything I've shown her! Unless it's Nike trainers she says she hates it! She'll put a lovely smart outfit on and then put trainers on with it. Literally the only footwear she owns is one pair Nike, one pair converse and her school shoes. I've tried pointing out how lovely girls her age look in doc martens in all the lovely colours and finishes you can get these days but she won't have it!

Leather converse or vans?

That's a good idea...I'll have a look. I suggested velvet trainers and she was aghast! Shall suggest leather! Thanks!

My daughter is the same. She did buy herself some ankle boots from New look last year though...probably because I wasn't with her.Otherwise it's Adidas and Nikes

I think it is a case of 'if you think it's nice, I must hate it'. I've quite a lot of shoes and boots so if they resemble those she thinks they're mumsy so must things are mumsy!

Give her £30 (or whatever you are willing for her to spend) and send her to New Look / Primani and let her choose her own?

I've given up trying to pick for DD (13) - easier to agree what she is buying (coat, shoes, jumper) etc and leave her to it.
