Thoughts on this Topshop jacket/coat?

Evening!

I've had my eye on this Topshop jacket/coat for a few years now and have finally decided to put it on my Christmas list, however, I don't live near any Topshops at all, so can't try it on.

Does anyone have this coat? (first photo)

If so, what is the sizing like? I'm a size 6 and 5ft2 and would like it a bit oversized (like in the second photo).

Is it very bulky? Will it make me look bigger than I am, or is it soft enough to just sort of drape over my shoulders slightly?

And finally, is the lining in the entire coat, or only in the sleeves/front? I'd like to be warm!

Any help very welcome before my partner orders it, as it's more than I usually spend on a coat, so I don't want him to buy it for nothing. Thanks!

Just buy it you can always send it back, I got a Ted baker one must be 4 years ago, it was the most I have ever paid for a jacket, I still love it and will wear it for many years.

I ordered this when they had the 20% off (think it was Halloween). Haven’t received it yet but will let you know!

@lindyloo57 Yes, I suppose you're right. I've got an awful track record of ordering things online and then not liking them on me. As I've been interested in this jacket for the past couple of years, I'm scared to be disappointed again!

@Pinkvici22 Ooh yes please! I don't know anyone in real life with the jacket sadly but am always wary as all of the people that I've seen wearing it online are super skinny and tall so it's difficult to picture it on myself.

I’m neither super skinny nor tall OP! UK 10-12 and 5’4! I’ve ordered a 12 so will see how it fits!

I think it will make you bigger but at an 8 so what if you look a 10? Your legs will show that its the clothes making you bigger up top.

@Pinkvici22 @AntCrawley Great, I think that I'll size up and order an 8. It looks very fluffy so I don't think I'd need to wear too many layers underneath and will make sure to show off my legs whilst wearing it :) Quite looking forward to the cold weather now!

Ah, I've just seen that they do regular and petite sizes, a bit confused now... @Pinkvici22 which version did you order as we're a similar-ish height?

I have it! I'm a twelve and have it I an eight as its v oversized and k wanted it more fitted. Its lovely, much nicer and cheaper than a Zara version I saw

I thought something similar from all saints and it wa too bulky I found and stuff across my shoulders.

I bought it two years ago but ended up returning it. I found it hit me at a weird length, and also that it was quite rigid and stiff.

I have this. Im a 6 but got a size 4 as came up huge.

Oh I’m worried now I should’ve got a 10! I never order petite - long arms and legs...

Ah this is a bit confusing now! I didn't realise it came up big, certainly as the model on the website is wearing a size 8 and it doesn't look oversized at all. Maybe I'll stick to getting a 6 then with the knowledge I may have to return it, as I definitely don't want it too fitted.

@Boofybear1 You say you're a size 6 and got it in a 4 - is it still oversized on you or rather fitted? Would you go for a size 6 if you wanted it to be a bit oversized, or would that make you look very bulky?

Update!!!
It arrived this afternoon...I’m in love and already wearing it! It is quite oversized but I definitely think I went for the right size - with skinny jeans and a slouchy knit jumper it’s perfect.

@Pinkvici22 Ooh I'm so glad to hear it! That's it, I'm definitely getting it! I'm quite worried about it selling out, so I may get my partner to buy it this week as a very early Christmas present and perhaps just keep it wrapped up until it gets very cold... Glad you're happy with it!!

OP I was on Pinterest last night looking for outfit ideas and saw some lovely outfits for this jacket, definitely worth a look! My mum saw it and assumed it was All Saints and real leather!!!

I’ve just spotted an almost identical one on new look website. So I’ve ordered it 😬🤞🏼

@Pinkvici22 That's getting me quite excited for this jacket now, I just need to pin my boyfriend down and get him to order it! Is it warm? Is the "fur" everywhere inside the coat?

@Kenworthington Yes, I've seen that one too, almost identical! It's a good option if Topshop sell out and is also around the same price!

Yes it’s so warm! The fur is lovely and soft. I wore it Bonfire Night with a fine knit jumper and it kept me very snug

@Pinkvici22 I couldn't wait any longer, I've ordered it myself and my boyfriend will get me something else for Christmas, I want to be warm and snug too! Should get it early next week, so fingers crossed it's wonderful! :)

It arrived this morning and it's lovely! I could've got away with going for a size 8 to be honest as the size 6 (petite) isn't super oversized, but it actually looks wonderful and I've already received compliments - very happy! :)

I have this, last year’s version though. Unfortunately when I bought mine, the petite version wasn’t released and ended up launching about a month later. Annoying as I would have preferred the petite one!

The only real negative I can say is that over time, the sleeves will start to crease heavily and it won’t look as nice.

As mine is a bit longer than I’d like, it can be difficult to style. I prefer wearing mine with skirts and dresses rather than jeans/trousers as it doesn’t quite look right on me!

It’s warm but it’s not the warmest coat out there. I just use it as a winter biker coat in lieu as my leather jacket and switch to warmer coats when it’s bitterly cold.
