Moisturiser recs for weather-beaten skin

I’ve just started fell running (!) which means I’m outside a lot in all weathers and my skin is getting quite sore and chapped. Can anyone suggest a good moisturiser to help protect it? I’d like something very rich and comforting (I’ve been using lip balm on my skin so far!)

Happy to pay a bit for something effective.

Thank you!

Weleda skin food. Very thick and nourishing. Smells nice and lemony.

Weleda also have a weather balm which could be exactly what you're looking for, actually. It's even thicker than the Skin Food - similar consistency to Vaseline but with better ingredients for skin.

Fell running sounds really fun!

After washing and patting dry your face, apply some aloe vera gel to heal the skin then use something like PP said to moisturise it. I use a Loreal one that is really good

I like a facial oil at this time of year
I've had claims blue orchid before and recently bought revolution rosehip oil. Only need 3 drops and lovely to use before sleep
