Just that? To get rid of their peach fuzz. Seen it on insta and looks intriguing, but just can't quite understand why 'shaving' your peach fuzz doesn't make it grow back darker and spiky?

Yep I do it myself with a scalpel. It doesn't grow back any different

I have for a few years with those razors you can buy. They're quite cheap from super drug and amazon. Never grown back thicker. I've shaved my top lip for around 5 years, again, nothing's grown back any differently. It's an old wives tail.

Why doesn't it grow back coarsely though? I dont understand Confused!

I have dark hair and prone to hormonal chin hair so would be mortified if it did grow back coarsely.

Why would it grow back coarse, you’re just taking the top off, the hair itself remains the same when it grows back

I have Dermaplaning facials at the salon every 6-8 weeks. Nothing has grown back thicker (and I’m very prone to dark hair around my chin).

Strongbeatsskinny · 03/11/2019 09:51

I’m another one that has it done every 6/8 weeks doesn’t grow back coarser at all. Skin feels nice afterwards and makeup looks better too.

It's a myth - it feels different because you've sliced the hair off bluntly
Shaving doesn't make hairs grow back darker or coarser
