Best high street cashmere?

Does anyone have any recommendations for the high street cashmere jumpers and/or cardis? I'm after a nice black round neck that will hold its shape, not bobble or shrink. Ideally machine-washable and less than £100 too. Hopefully that's not asking too much!

I bought one like that from M & S. Think they are 89 pounds. I got mine 20 percent off. Lots of colours, I bought a black one and two others. Cosy. I have looked at a lot of High Street cashmere and IMO these were the best quality. Uniqlo get a lot of love but I was not impressed. I went to the Woolovers shop too, their cashmere didn't impress me as much as the M & S.

I bought 2 M&S cashmeres jumpers last year, they've washed well and are so lovely and soft. I'm out shopping tomorrow after my annual wardrobe clear-out and will probably buy another 1 or 2.

Please bear in mind the ethical issues surrounding cashmere - I only buy 2nd hand for the reason.

I got a couple from Uniqlo this year and they’ve been fab (I’ve been wearing them all the time over the last few weeks). I got one last year and the quality was a bit lower, ie it did bobble. However, have you got a shaver? I just give my cashmere a once over when needed and it looks excellent again.

Do you have any local charity shops? Our local ones have quite a few cashmere jumpers for between £8-20, well worth looking as some of them look barely used.

I buy quite a bit from M&S. Turtle Doves are good for recycled cashmere.

Gap does the best high street cashmere IME, far superior quality to M&S
