I love this dress, although it finishes between my knee and the widest part of my calf which doesn't feel the most flattering. I wore it recently to an event, and was ill all week before and couldn't face dealing with new shoes - wore some chunky heeled black pointy shoe boots, and sheer black tights.
I think I'll probably wear it to my work Christmas do, and thought I would try to get some better shoes. I rarely wear 'smart' shoes - trainers at work; trainers, DM shoes, flat boots, Birkenstocks, that sort of thing the rest of the time. A heel is ok, but only a couple of inches, but massively high as I'm already tall, and definitely not a narrow stiletto-type heel.
Also - tights? Black, nude, patterned?
Please please help me with inspiration and advice!
