Mother of the bride suit help needed

I've been really poorly and ordered a trouser suit for my daughters wedding online, but it looks awful on, this is what I ordered

I have scoured and scoured for over a week for a trouser suit that looks smart and weddingy.

I'd love something in this type of fabric and colour
www.johnlewis.com/gina-bacconi-marion-jacquard-coat-blue/p3601091?size=10

Please help, pretty desperate, even my husband is searching for me. I need a size 16 so the few I have found have been the wrong size.

I can't wear a dress I have severe scarring on my arms and legs from major surgery and I feel very paranoid about those areas.

The wedding is the 23rd November so 3 weeks and 1 day away.

Thanks for any help.

Have a look on Chesca Direct. They do mother of the Bride outfits some of which are trousers. I'm not sure they have any blue ones though. How about that Gina Bacconi coat with navy separates.

It would be helpful to know a little more about your height / build / colouring ... And maximum budget.

Obviously you don’t have to buy something specifically labelled ‘Mother of the Bride’ - as that can lead to some rather uninspired outfits.

For something entirely different - how about this suit? Arket’s sizing is very generous so you should have no problem there. It might look a little more contemporary /cheerful / seasonal than your initial suggestions.

Another possibility here, long sleeved dress and trousers - more relaxed shape but beautiful fabric.

Try Shibumistyle for beautiful long sleeved coats and jackets . Wear one over trousers . Stunning outfits and the owner/designer will help you, she’s lovely

I was going to suggest Bombshell HQ or going to an Asian tailor and getting a salwar kameez made for you in a fabric you love.

But those Shibumi coats are absolutely GORGEOUS. Get one of those and wear over wideleg trousers and a silk t-shirt. Knockout!

Another vote for Chesca, they are also available at John Lewis.

If you have a John Lewis store nearby, consider booking aa session with a personal shopper there, they will listen to your needs and find suitable garments for you. It's a free service, and they are very creative in pulling together the look you want.

The Shibumi clothes are lovely too!

Thank you so much, having a look at Shibumi, that is exactly what I need.

I have a nice silk shirt so will go hunt wide leg trousers.

Feel relieved to know there is something nice I can wear that will make me feel the part.

Thank you ever so much for help.

I have one of the Shibumi silk coats in a pale blue. I definitely think they are perfect for a November wedding. Add the palazzo pants - in velvet? Plus a good top and you will be comfortable and wow!
