Hi
Am 50 and have clear skin . It’s pale, not very glowy !
I have big ish pores on my nose which can collect sebum ( ooh which I squeeze our - sorry t m I )
.
I can get dry skin on my nose but do not get spots .
I just feel a bit ‘ jaded ‘
Someone mentioned Paula a choice to me ? I just use the ordinary rosehip oil and struggle to understand what to buy !!!!
Any advice would be exiting ! I don’t mind paying if it works ! I used to use meals yard cream but got out of the habit !!!!!
I would really like mire vibrant plumped up skin rather than dull , clear skin with dry skin ( flakes ) on the nose 🤣

42 here. I wash my face with olive oil. Massage in and wipe off firmly with a facecloth. Removes more dirt then soap etc. It's also great for makeup removal and your skin will feel super soft.

Is this the type u cook with or a special one ??

I'm 53 and blessed with pretty good skin genetically but I don't smoke or drink which helps .

I use a Korean sponge to buff in the shower , either on its own or a cleanser ( foaming or oil based depending on what mood my skin is in)

Superdrug Optimum products - pump bottle moisturiser (grey one) and the eye cream tube that has a metal applicator

M&S 8 hour sleep cream at night .

I don't wear make up so a hot cloth + cleanser at night is fine (If I do wear any make-up then I use Bodyshop Camomile balm or the Superdryg Optimum )

Water - lots .

I reallly don't want to get into the rabbit hole of retinols and peels and Botox .

I have just spent 2 weeks doing nothing to my face except water in the shower and a dab of moisturiser ................and it looks ok . (This was not my choice BTW , and I fully expected my skin to declare war on me . But no!)

You can use bog standard olive oil, doesn't have to be special.

Thanks both !

You could try glycolic pads to exfoliate which might improve both pores and flaking. I use nip and fab. Superdrug do some much cheaper but can't comment on their efficacy.

I’ve not heard of those but sounds good
My pal uses something by Paula s choice ?

A lovely lady on here recommended La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume 5 to me for a spot flare up - I’ve been using it religiously since then and my spots disappeared but it’s also sort of “sorted out” my face in general and the skin is less irritated, more glowy and has less redness. May be worth a shot :)

Superdrug vitamin A stuff. Lots in the range from oils, serum, leave on masks, moisturizers, eye cream. I tried the oil on a whim and liked it so much I tried other bits an bobs in the range as they are cheap as chips and tend to be on a buy one get one half price. I found my skin seems to have got it's glow back which I had lost since non sleeping dd3 arrived a year ago. This is from someone who used to buy eyewateringly expensive stuff. Wish I had found it sooner

Vitamin E range not A!!

I’m following OP.
I’m 52 and also want to be more ‘plumped and glowing’
I have generally clear skin but noticed bigger pores now on my cheeks. My nose and chin are red.
