Winter dandruff?

I have a problem that arises every winter or when the clock changes - dandruff! I think it's more like dry skin as I also notice my usual moisturiser doesn't cut it anymore.

I have stopped washing my hair daily like I do in summer, and only wash it 3 or 4 days per week. While this has helped, it certainly hasn't eliminated the problem. I've also tried different shampoos to no avail.

I did end up putting moisturiser on my scalp overnight on the weekend, which actually helped keep the flakes at bay but isn't the easiest thing to do.

Has anyone got any tried and tested solutions to this problem? Thank you!

I used to get this at the change of seasons every year. I'm not sure why it doesn't happen anymore but T gel shampoo sorted it out at the time. Just use your normal conditioner. The T gel conditioner was rubbish.

Thanks @MoltonSilver, I have used tgel before and it's pretty good! But just think I don't have dandruff so much as dry skin.. will def get some if I can't find any more solutions

Stop using so much detergent or shampoo in this case. Switching to an oil based shampoo bar like the ones from funky soaps have helped a me a lot.

What other shampoos have you tried? I found SLS free a game changer. The Faith in nature (cheaper) and Aubrey Organics (less cheap!) on here have totally eradicated my dandruff.
