Yellow teeth

My teeth are looking yellow and I'm getting very self conscious about smiling and talking now. I've started to buy tooth whitening strips from the supermarket and expensive whitening toothpastes but I am not seeing much improvement.

I think need to do something more drastic, but I am a bit confused. I read something about a tray you use each day for a couple of weeks. I think they sell them online and so I'm wondering if I can buy one of those things and if it's better than going to the dentist, or if it's better to go to my dentist? And would the dentist be a one off thing, like go in, they do their magic and I walk out with white teeth? Sorry am clueless, any advice appreciated.

My dentist made my trays and supplied the peroxide. I did it every night for 2 weeks. That was 10 years ago, they are still white and I often get compliments on them. However I don’t drink tea, coffee or red wine. I probably use the trays a couple of days a year, normally before my birthday, as a top up.
Cost then was £250. The peroxide syringes from my dentist coat £10.

Same as PP, trays from dentist with 2 week course. Then top up before special occasions. Absolutely worth the money.

I use plus white gel from Amazon one per month . It’s cheap and it works. I bought trays on amazon too - you soak in hot water and bite them and they mould to your teeth then you can use them repeatedly. After whitening I rinse the trays and fill with pro enamel toothpaste and put them back in mouth for 10 mins x

@RoseHippy1 you wouldn't happen to have any links to those products would you?

Also if you haven’t had a scale and polish recently this will help, as well as flossing / Interdental brushes
