Hair straightening 101

I'm fairly new to using straighteners - as I've got older and my hair looks more rubbish, using straighteners helps make it look much better. But I've not been able to find a product to use on my dry hair before I straighten it. Surely this is necessary?

What are great protecting products for straightening please?

Lee Stafford's heat protector spray is great - better than a lot of the more expensive products - and smells of sweets.

I've been using my blow drying heat protector spray so far. I did think there must be more specialist products though? Designed to be applied onto dry hair.

Yes, Lee Stafford makes some nice heat protection products. Think there’s a pre straightening spray in his Poker Strait range. They sell it in boots, gorgeous magenta pink bottles.

I've straightened my hair almost every day for about 15 years and I've never used any product on it and I've never had a problem.
