Hormonal spots -help please!

I've recently come off hormonal contraception as DH has had the snip. My skin is awful right now (a week until my period is due) which it never was when I was on the pill or the implant.

I wash my face with a hot cloth cleanser in a morning and use water and a microfibre cloth to remove my make up every night. I get awful, non squeezable spots around my mouth and jawline.

Has anyone got any recommendations?

Thank you! It's driving me mad, my skin is worse now than when I was a teenager!

You need to see a dr. Don’t do what I did and battle on till it’s cystic.

I’ve had the same all my life, like clockwork a week before my period is due a single painful hormonal spot, each month it alternates which side of the chin it’s on :(

Being on the pill helps slightly. High dose starflower oil also helps somewhat. I have tried spirinolactone in the past but at 50mg a day, it didn’t seem to have much impact and I didn’t want to go higher.

Unfortunately it can take months for your body to get back to normal after coming off contraception. It will get better eventually.

My implant came out in May so I'll give it another couple of months then go to the doctors if it's not better. Thanks for the advice all

It won’t help if you are not getting everything off at the end of the day. Have a look at double cleansing. I’d also recommend a BHA/ salicylic acid. I like Paula’s choice.

That’s 6 months ago, my gp says she sits there with patients with acne thinking “please ask me about your skin” but they don’t.

It’s not normal to have deep spots like this on any part of the body.

Thank you everyone who's replied. I'm going to make a dr's appointment to see what they say then I'll look at more cleansers etc.
