I'm going insane trying to find a thick winter coat which doesn't make me look like a penguin

Unfortunately I'm short and fat and it's really not helping matters, I already have a straight cut fabric coat from H&M, but it's so so heavy and it's not really any good for rain as it doesn't have a good and ultimately becomes a giant towel (and even blooming heavier!).
Not really a fan of the padded coat.
Is there anything out there?!
