What boots do I want

For weekend/casual wear. Leather. Brown or black. Fairly wide fitting. Budget up to 150. Flat

I want something which will last a few years. Classic I guess. I am a very casual dresser, bit of a 90s indie kid. I want to be able to wear with tights and dresses but mostly will be with jeans/v casual trousers.

I look every year and every year get scared of spending the cash so buy cheap from new look and then wreak them.

Fly London - loads of different ones but I like Mes2

Have you seen Sainsburys new range made out of plastic bottled? They seem perfect for you x

Orca bay! Bit off style wise but have a look, lots of options. They are so waterproof you can ford rivers in them! I got a pair two years ago and not even close to replacing... Thinking about reheeling.
I wear them to all occasions expect summer weddings. I love them. Worth a look but not to everyone's taste

Another vote for Fly Mes. I just got them on Amazon for £80 www.amazon.co.uk/Fly-London-Womens-Mes-Chukka/dp/B001AE92O0/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?dchild=1&psc=1&keywords=fly+mes&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1572385663&sr=8-2

Slightly over budget, but warm, lovely, stompy and accommodate my wide feet, I have them in black and love them.

Not keen on the orca bay ones but thank you for suggesting. Uggs never fit my feet properly which is a shame. Clark's don't either. Nothing jumped out in the Sainsbos ones but saw a nice work pair!

I do like some of the fly boots but they come up a bit higher than I fancy.

I am heavily flirting with the dms. My worry is they are a bit 'this season' and whilst they are a style classic and I much mourn the ones I owned in the sixth form, they may look a bit try hard for me. But I do loves them.

I have found some plain black biker boots from Gabor. I don't like too many buckles or straps and biker is a classic style I guess.....

I am so indecisive! May go to the dm shop tomorrow for a try on....

I went to Matalan the other day for a browse and they had some nice leather boots. Might be worth a look.

Camper boots can be good. Soft and super comfy.

Kaz2200 · 30/10/2019 10:17

Rocket Dog do great boots - really comfortable, classic but casual, and last ages

TheClitterati · 30/10/2019 21:28

My brown Ecco Chelsea boots are now on their 5th winter and still going strong. Really great investment.
