I desperately need stick on nails that don't look horrendous, can anyone help.

I have to go to a very smart black tie do with my husband at the weekend. He's been asked to take 20 clients and so I'm kind of hosting a table and need to look polished Confused.

I work as a dog walker, I keep my nails very very short and I've just clipped them without thinking- sob!

They look awful. I really don't want acrylics, shellac or anything like that. I'd like to just stick some nails on and hope no one notices that they aren't real. Can anyone suggest anything please?

Dd aged 16 always wears by the Primark ones of all things! She reckons they last the longest of all the stick on ones and they’re so cheap you can buy a couple of packets of the same ones so you have spares just incase.

I can also recommend the Primark ones. They're a quid and I always get complimented on them when I have them on. My tips to putting them on and making sure they stay on would be to give your nails a wipe with nail polish remover first (even if you don't have nail polish on) and give your nails a little sand with an emery board (which probably doesn't do your nails any good but they will definitely last longer and won't ping off during the evening).

my sister also swears by primark ones, but she buys a stronger glue to use than the one that comes with them. i think it’s called elegant something from superdrug.

Came on here to recommend the Primark ones. They are honestly great and last 24 hours minimum. I use them all the time for events/evenings out.

Kiss impress are very nice , I'm not normally a fan of false nails but they have lovely designs and look very classy.

Hayls17 · 29/10/2019 15:46

Primark all the way!

peoplepleaser1 · 30/10/2019 08:38

Thanks all. I'll attempt to get to a Primark before the weekend!

Primark £1 ones are brilliant! I play classical guitar (which you need nails for) and as mine just split I've been wearing glue on ones a lot..I've tried all brands but Primarks are great as they are thin and fine and don't feel huge fake and clumpy. I now buy in bulk :D

2nd vote for Kiss Impress from Superdrug, I love them. I get lots of compliments on them and people can't believe they are stick on- and they last almost 2 weeks! Cheaper/quicker/easier than getting gels.

Ineedanamechange79 · 30/10/2019 16:25

I third kiss impress. Take 5 mins to put on and last ages. No messy glue to worry about.

frogsbreath · 30/10/2019 16:28

I use kiss impress from Superdrug. I've always found the primark ones too long and the glue cheap and they ping off. However if it's only a few hours and a once off, they will do just take the glue and some spares with you just in case.

Another one for Primark nails.

Takes notes!
