Keratin Blowdry- hair feels drier than before?!

So I've just finished having a keratin blowdry, it's not the same as Brazilian blowdry and doesnt contain formaldehyde. The lady who started the treatment was lovely and took her time, but the guy who finished it was awful-it was the most painful blowdry and I ended up leaving the salon before he'd straightened it cause o couldn't put my head through more torture!! All the product had been rinsed out though. Thing is my hair feels far drier than it did to start with. Its knotty aswell and still has a slight stench to it. It's the newer keratin treatment that can be done in one visit and took 4 hours- has anyone has this done?? Does it feel nicer the first time you wash it at home? I'm really underwhelmed and annoyed cause this was meant to be a time saving treat so I would be able to leave my hair naturally curly and have less frizz. But when the guy was blow drying it in the final stage of treatment it wasnt glossy or smooth it just looked like my normal frizz!! When I run my hands through my hair its catching on the ends that are knotting together- has anyone had the same? Shall I wash it and hope for the best?? Tia.

I had brazilian formaldehyde kit and it made my hair great, keratin less so though i dont remember dryness. You can wash it off with sls shampoo, pool or sea water and try olaplex. Speak to the salon

I had mine done years ago but yes it was smooth straight away. Did you buy the accompanying shampoo and conditioner? If so, I would wash and dry my hair tomorrow and if it feels the same I would contact the salon.

Thank you both- yes have bought sulphate free shampoo and conditioner. Maybe I was expected too much but I really wanted a more glossy effect?! Its started to feel a bit softer in the last hour so going to see how it feels tomorrow and after first wash!

I had a Brazilian blow dry a few years ago I have really thick long hair and I thought it would make it more manageable Cut straightening/ drying time and glossy etc I also bought the shampoos etc.. I too was underwhelmed and it didn’t really do anything I wouldn’t go back for one again.. did
You get it done at a well known salon ?
