Yorkshire Dales dress

I really like this Yorkshire Dales dress but had never previously heard of the brand Palava.

Has anyone bought from them before? The dress is pricey (for me) but I'm considering it if reviews are decent.

I have no connection with the area (the Edinburgh Castle dress would be more appropriate for me!) but really love the print. Hoping to hear good things ...

I forgot the app strips out link descriptions so they just say "click here". Blush

The links should say

  • Yorkshire Dales dress
  • Palava
  • Edinburgh Castle dress

If it's meant to be the Yorkshire dales why are there puffins and kilts on it? Odd

I'm pretty sure I've seen this brand nightly recommended by a poster who was an enormous fan of dresses and skirts - particularly if they have good pockets.

The design is a tribute to the old Yorkshire expression I just made up 'ey oop lad, it's snowing puffins'.

'Highly recommended', not 'nightly' , she wasn't that keen.

Love the Yorkshire Dales dress!

I love those prints. I wish they did plus size dresses!

ErrolTheDragon · 29/10/2019 15:17

It looks like there's one (though a somewhat plainer print) in their 'curve' section, Gretchen

I wish they did petite sizes, can't find any at all. Maybe the hem prints wouldn't work so well.

The pockets are a definite plus for me, so I understand the poster's enthusiasm!

That's nice but I really like the Edinburgh one. Never mind, I'll see if I can find the fabric somewhere and make a version of it Smile

I bought a Louise dress from them last summer. The print is beautiful but I was expecting the cotton to be a bit heavier than it is (although it is a summer dress). I bought it for a wedding and have worn it once since but I'm not sure how well it would stand up to regular wear and washing. Their customer service is supposed to be great though, and I think there's a discount if you sign up to their mailing list.

That's very helpful. Thanks, notasgreen Smile
