£10 (or less) rich winter face moisturiser without SPF

I’m on a budget at the moment and I’m looking for a very moisturising face cream for the winter. Without SPF as I prefer to use a separate SPF when I know I’m going to need it. I have £10 max to spend! I’m hovering around 40 so if it has any anti ageing properties even better, but my main concern is moisture.

Nivea in the blue tub, nothing better

Superdrug Vitamin E intense moisture.

L'Oreal Rivatilft. I was reduced to £6 the other day.

Nivea in the blue tub. It works even better if you buy the eyebrow razors and defuzz your whole face and then rub this into your face until it 'melts'. Not for day wear but, amazing at night.

saucysprinkles · 29/10/2019 10:54

I think there was a study done that compared Nivea in in the blue tub and creme la mer (the super expensive cream) and Nivea came out better.

Sounds like Nivea is the one! Although I don’t fancy shaving my face with eyebrow razors Confused is that a thing?!! Clearly I don’t hang out on the S&B boards very much...

Nivea blue tub again

Gwenhwyfar · 29/10/2019 14:45

The Nivea blue tub doesn't glide on very easily and is better as a night cream imo.

ChicCauldron · 29/10/2019 14:48

I have very dry skin and use the Nivea, but put dots on my face and pat it to warm it up before trying to rub it in. I've been using it for a few years now and I was surprised at how well it worked tbh. Good for the body as well or hands (again, dry skin for me).

Blue tub Nivea is great but I like Astral even more. Smells good and easier to spread
