Best cream/product for post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation

Hoping this might catch the eye of a dermatologist...

I have a terrible habit of picking at spots/bites etc repeatedly.

As a result when the skin has healed up, it remains pretty red for sometimes months after the spot/bite.

I understand that this is called post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation and not to be confused with regular hyperpigmentation.

So if this is anyone's area or has experienced the same, which are the best of the creams/products out there to treat it.

Thanks

I've always sworn by Clarins beauty skin repair concentrate (used to be SOS something or other, back in 1997!) but it's expensive. Lasts months though as you only need a tiny bit. I've used my last drop in the last couple of days so will watch your thread with interest because I do the same as you Blush

For brightening you'll want a niacinamide serum (look at The Ordinary) and ensure your wear sunscreen daily to protect the delicate skin whilst it heals and prevent any further damage to the area
