Which are the best foundations? Creams to hide dark circles ?

So, as I get towards my 40s I ve found my foundation wasn't working for me. It wasn't covering redness/blemishes/spots anyone or lasting and was just sticking in the fine lines I have and looked flaky.

I went to space Uk and was recommended Laura mercier concealer, foundation and powder. I love the foundation and the concealer for the texture, coverage and look it gives me but I feel it's totally the wrong colour tone. Sometimes I look in the mirror and feel areas where I am trying to cover spots are orangey. I went back and they sold me the lighter tones, but they are still too orange for my skin tone.

What foundations/concealers do you recommend for my age which give excellent coverage, last all day, cover spots abc redness well without being too heavy? And have wide range of colour options they match to your skin tone?

Also, I have dark circles under by eye and have very thin saggy, lined skin. It's a family trait. I have thought about surgery to remove them as now I am older they really age me. Foundation and concealer just doesn't cover it anymore and I find I can't put too much on anyway or it looked caked on and goes into the fine lines. What would you recommend for this?

I have this problem! I’ve found the becca anti fatigue eye primer followed by the becca colour corrector then concealer (I use Estée Lauder double wear) works well. The eye primer (first step) stops the other products from caking and sitting in wrinkles.

I'm nearly 50 with vitiligo on my face. This stuff is amazing. I used to buy double wear and like it but look at the price on this!
It covers my vit patches and thread veins. I use a good moisturizer underneath and it lasts all day.

Thanks likecurrybest. Does it reduce/hide the appearance of black circles under the eyes too?

The colour corrector does - other brands do them too I find a peachy corrector works well on me to hide the darkness then the concealer on top

I use the Phoera foundation too it's very good.
I'm 52 with very dark circles and use IT cosmetics waterproof concealer. It's a bit sticky so you warm it between your fingers first and a little goes a long way
