Any miracle treatments out there for dry cracked lips?

Each year as soon as the weather turns cold, my lips dry crack and peel. Its started already this year. I must have tried every lip balm going. Anybody had anything that works well to protect lips. Don't get me started on wearing lipstick over the festive season, it makes them worse. Boring thread I know, but any ideas ladies?

Another vote for hydrating - if I under drink for a day or two my lips are the first thing to object !
Blistex is good.

I came on to recommend metal tube Blistex and see many others have already done that- it's the only thing that really works for me. Blistex in the white plastic tube is a close second

My ds gets such sore lips. He got some L’Occitaine stuff in his stocking last year (Father Christmas winced at the price!) but it’s the best thing he’s ever used.

I am the oddbod who waxed lyrical about Vagisil but it really does take the edge off sore skin - I combine with the Nuxe in a pot too

Dr Paw Paw the yellow tube is amazing or Aquaphor

There was one called Hurraw or something on threads last year .I got the lemon and the overnight for dd . Lanolips (I have the rhubarb one which has a light tint). Not a fan of the Palmer one

Another vote for nipple balm.

Wonkybanana · 25/10/2019 23:17

Lansinoh nipple cream (pure lanolin), the Blistex already mentioned, or Nivea - not a Nivea lip balm, just the old fashioned, original, thick white cream in the blue tub.

Nuxe in the jar is the only thing that stops the corners of my mouth cracking open as soon as it gets cold. It's expensive but lasts for months.

@Simonfromharlow 'I put bepanthan on mine!'
Me too, it's the only thing that worked after I accidentally wore an out of date lipstick (for 2 seconds) then wiped it off, my lips were sooooo sore!

O'keefe's in the orange oval tube. The matte one. I'm never without it
