Considering this coat - what colour shoes/trousers will work?

Please be gentle, I have no talent for this!

I've been looking for a long down coat for the winter for school runs, park trips, forest school etc, i.e standing around in the freezing cold for ages!
I've looked at the £200 ish Berghaus/North Face etc and the price makes me recoil a bit.
This Karrimor one is a bargain though in clearance, but only left in black which I don't usually wear. Would it look ok with blue/navy jeans (literally all I own!)? And if so, what colour footwear would you choose?

I couldn’t get your link to work but I had a search and think I found the right one. I would say that black goes with pretty much anything. I had a similar style black jacket - mine was from Asda so not expensive- for a few years (pretty much retired it this year as it’s looking old now). I wore mine all through the winter with mainly jeans and boots. I think I looked ok, perhaps not super stylish but smart enough and I was warm which was the main thing.

Sorry, you're right, I mucked up the link! Glad to hear it's not a total no no, thank you. I'm not aiming for super stylish or anything but I get nervous when I read things on here like you should never wear black boots with blue jeans and wish I had some instinct for these things!
