I have to lose my acrylics

Hi,
First world problem I know.
I have just got a great new job but it involves working with food so my acrylics have to go 😟😟😟.
I have had them for 6 years and have a month to get my real nails looking as good as possible.
During this time I can wear varnish but once I start the job I won’t beable to.
So what are you hints and tips please, Obviously my real nails are going to be a state, should I wear a clear gel whilst they are recovering?

Just keep them v v short. Rub coconut oil into them daily rather than clear varnish. I did this myself earlier this year and my nails were fine but I was very strict about the above, I didn’t let them get long until the whole nail had grown out iyswim

Just cut them short, buff them, and use the pink Vaseline hand and nail cream several times a day with nail oil at night.

I had shellac for 3 straight years and I hated the idea of giving up going to get my nails done. I get a Japanese manicure and an ibx treatment now....my nails are lovely and shiny and when I have anything on they can be painted at my appointment, I can take that off for college and I still have my shiny nails for 2 weeks. It looks like I have a clear polish on but you can see the regrowth. I have to keep them super short for college but they do look good still as long as I keep up with the coconut oil

Thankyou all, I will get some good coconut oil and have found alocal salon that does IBX treatments ( never heard of them before), I will go and see them tomorrow
