Colour and Cut at different places

Doesn't anyone get their hair cut at one place then coloured at a different place?

My friend is an amazing hair dresser for cutting, but she doesn't do colour at all because she hates doing it.

If I go somewhere to get colour done, do I there first and then get the cut, or other way round?

No

Colour first, cut second.

It's a lot of hassle. I'd get both done at one place.

I would get the cut first then colour later so you arent cutting off newly coloured stuff. Often a colour includes a cut and blow dry so check with the hairdresser

I was thinking cut first makes more sense.....but that's not the order salons do it in?

Colour damages hair. Best to get the ends cut off after the colour.

Unless you're having loads off, in which case a rough cut before colour, and finish the cut once it's done.

I don't mind going to two different places, I get so bored say in a hairdressers for half a day....would prefer to break it up even if it's not as efficient

My friend does. She has curly hair so goes to a hairdresser that does that well and then another that is better for colour. Your the customer so it's up to you! I think it makes sense but it might cost a bit more overall I guess.

I don't have the same person colour and cut, and I don't have a cut every time I have a colour. This week I had a cut without a colour.

I would definitely go elsewhere for a cut, while going to the same hairdresser I've been going to for years for a colour. I doubt they'd notice someone else had cut it.

Always. Colour first then two weeks later, cut. Colour I get done in central London, close to where I work, and it's v expensive, costs £220. Cut, just round the corner. Wet cut - go in with wet hair, having already washed and conditioned, costs £20. Both two or three times a year.

I go to different salons for my cut and colour. I get my hair trimmed every 7 weeks or so and coloured every 10 weeks so there's no particular co-ordination involved between them, just done as needed.
