Foundation has made my skin red?

I’ve been using the same foundation for a few years now, I’m around half way through my current bottle and it’s suddenly made my face red where I’ve dotted it around.
I’ve never had this problem before but now I have red patches all over my face and it’s also burning, has this happened to anyone else?

Yes - I used Perricone cosmetics for a couple of years, using a darker colour summer and lighter for winter - until one year switched and face blew up, ended in A&E with eyes like slots and face swollen like football. Antihistamines resolved over next few days, but then skin shed (where it had been so stretched) like a snake!
Immediately through all Perricone stuff away and haven't had any other issues

My suggestion is get it off your face ASAP!

I tried it again before I saw your comment and it hasn’t made my face red but it still doesn’t feel 100% right on my skin.
Going to nip to Superdrug now to get a rimmel one or something I think!

I had that happen to me with a bottle of Mac foundation. It was only about 4 months old but for some reason it spoiled and caused my face to feel like it was on fire. Subsequent bottles have been fine.
I don’t know what happened but I suspect it was because I stored it in the bathroom cabinet. Although it was out of direct sunlight, I think the heat and humidity from showers/baths made it turn.

@ThanksForAllTheFish Was it by any chance Mac Studio Fix Fluid? That’s the one that did it to me, I store it in a drawer out of direct sunlight.

My MAC studio sculpt did this to me and I couldn't understand what was going on so I just threw it away. I stored it in a bathroom cabinet.

@Viviene I tried it again half an hour later and it was fine visually, but felt a bit off and I don’t want to risk it again. Shame considering I have half the bottle left Confused

Contact customer service, they should send a replacement or offer money back/off or something (providing its less than 12 months since you've opened it).
