Large feet, slim legs: which boots please?

As title suggests, this is the bane of my life every winter. Size 8 feet but very slim ankles and calves and every pair of boots that fit my feet just flop about like big wellies, regardless of length. I don’t know why manufacturers assume that large feet automatically mean large calves also, it makes no sense at all.

I’ve tried on so many pairs this season already but haven’t found a single pair that doesn’t look ridiculous with everything I’ve tried to pair them with - skinny or cropped jeans/trousers, every skirt length too.

Anyone found any slim fitting boots, regardless of shoe size please?

No suggestions I'm afraid because I'm in the same boat.

Flat boots look like clown shoes on me Grin

Fed up of wide fit/wide calf shoes & boots, where are the slim fit versions?!

Yes @Nquartz flat shoes look ridiculous!! I can get away with dainty converse with skinny jeans in spring/summer but struggle massively once the weather turns. Have found boots to fit in the past and kicking myself now that I didn’t buy 3-4 pairs every time I found some!

This One because it has a zipper on the side and the laces allow for tightening as well. I have the same problem as you do Grin

Thanks @CurryAndCobra. Now I know I just sound like a fusspot, but those lace ups just aren’t my style at all. Remember wearing them in the 90s and just can’t imagine styling them with anything in my wardrobe now. Although desperate times and all that.....maybe I should give them a go Smile

Me too. Sad
Duo boots come in calf sizes, but are very £££. I'd want to go to the shop and try them on before ordering

Thank you @FloraMacDonald. Never heard of them before so looked them up and there’s a sale on! Still more than I’d ideally pay for boots but not outrageously so, so I’ll give them a go.

Thanks again 🤞🏻
