Clothes for kids who are chunky/heavy/sturdy

My 6 year old is a big child. Naturally stocky but also has developed a tummy recently (which we are working on, don’t need any advice on that thanks!).
I’m having trouble getting trousers to fit him. His older brother is the opposite - very slim and lanky. So I’m used to buying skinny fit clothes and having problems finding trousers that will stay up on him!
What are the best shops for trousers in particular that are more generous in the waist?

H&M are quite genrouse in the baby sizes so maybe older sizes as well.

NuffingChora · 20/10/2019 16:20

Definitely not H&M. Sizing is very, very small and slim cut...

Next do a plus size on their kids clothes ..

H&M and Next both have a generous fit selection of clothes.

Asda trousers always come up very wide on my DS (average size)
The 'baby' H&M trousers were very wide, cut for cloth nappies maybe? I've not bought children trousers from there though.
