I am a size 18/20 and have been invited on a cruise holiday.

I wondered if anybody had any recommendations for online sites that might have some nice dresses or skirts.

I tend to favour flared skirts to hide my unsightly tum.

Also I prefer elasticated waists (sorry but it's true).

Any recommendations would be very welcome.

I don’t know any specific websites but wanted to stop on here to say do check out the dress code for each night of your cruise as some cruises do a black tie evening, theme nights etc so make sure you have the right kind of clothing packed!

What shape are you please and what is your style? What colours suit you and how old are you also please?

Can thoroughly recommend www.scarlettandjo.com/

Very true to size. I've bought a couple of dresses from them and have worn them on a cruise too!

Thanks for responding.

I'm old (not saying more than that) and fat with a large stomach and thick around the waist since my menopause.

I am also short 5'2".

I usually wear dark colours in the hope it slims me down a bit.

DarlingCoffee

I have been on cruises before. These days they aren't quite so formal as they used to be which is good news because I wouldn't have any cause to wear posh togs in my everyday life.

Monsoon dresses go up to a size 22. Plenty midi length to cover knees.
These have a stretch waist uk.monsoon.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/mon_1,mon_1.8/7480340152?skipRedirection=true

Not sure if it will be warm or cold weather, but here are options! I love the layered look for colder weather. Also, something a bit quirkier with the hay and trainers. I love it and definitely think it would work on any age, but it might not be for you.

Also two midi dresses. The low cut one would need a cami underneath.
