I wear Birkenstock’s in the summer and trainers in the winter... I’ve tried ankle boots in winter but they just don’t seem to look right either too chunky or not small. In summer if I have something smart to go to (never anything super smart) I’ll wear a nice pair of low heeled sandals. However in winter I’m a bit stuck! I live in the countryside and my workwear is casual anyway, but for those smarter events (work Xmas party etc) I don’t know what to wear! It would be with jeans and a smart top. Any ideas? Not a huge fan of brogues or ‘dolly shoes’. Would it be really weird to wear sandals to the dinner in December?
