Have managed to order some bikinis
But where can I shop nice dresses or summer shorts / tops (for evening not day wear)

Boohoo and places do some but the quality is shocking and I'm in my forties and don't want to dress like a stripper!

Haven’t looked lately but Great Plains seem to sell all seasons dresses year round in the sale. Also some other brand sales, maybe try Other Stories?

OP, are you flying to somewhere warm? I know it sounds very last minute but, if this is the case, you best bet is probably the shops at the airport, when you get airside.

eBay - got a beautiful new with tags Monsoon dress for a fiver including shipping, last week. Seems as people might be having end of summer clearouts still.

Zara still has some cotton and linen dresses kicking about on their website, almost bought one but got one in the COS sale instead. Sadly that has finished now.

This is going to sound weird, but Mountain Warehouse has some. I’ve got one from there that I like a lot. It’s nothing fancy, quite plain cotton jersey, but it fits and washes well and might be good for travel.
