Opinion on these shoes pls

Looking for opinions on these shoes please. Bought them as an alternative to boots/trainers to wear with jeans/winter skirts & dresses etc. DH's reaction put me off a bit and now I'm not so sure. My DH sometimes gives his opinion on what I am wearing - 'Why are you dressed as a Romanian peasant?' was one of my favourites.

However he also knows I take no notice of his opinions and wear whatever I like.

If you like the shoes you should wear them. What do lesbians look like anyway?

I do (did?) like them. I bought them and brought them home and then he made that comment. @AnnaMagnani that's a good point! I should have asked him that.

They look better on than in the picture. I'm not sure whether to keep them or not 🤷🏻‍♀️

DH has just told me 'I didn't mean Romanian peasant in a negative way' - this was not apparent at the time.

FWIW my SIL is a lesbian and I've never seen her in DMs. Maybe I should tell her she's doing lesbianism all wrong. Here we were thinking it was all about women being sexually attracted to other women, but actually it's all about shoes.
