Best styles for bigger belly

After ideas! Always been prone to putting weight on my belly, which some clothes disguise well but others make me look pregnant (to clarify I am not). Always struggled to find decent clothes for my shape - however up and down my weight goes (it does fluctuate a lot) I've always got the damn belly. I know I should probably exercise but that's a whole other thread!

Anyone else with a bigger belly - what styles do you find work best?

High waisted jeans/jeggings, Skater dresses and wrap dresses work seem to do the job but with winter coming up I'm trying to diversify a little hence my asking.

Thanks!

For context I'm a size 12

I have this problem, even more so since giving birth.

Styles I like:

Empire line tops
Wrap dresses and tops
Vest top with fitted cardigan over the top, with only one button done up at narrowest point of my waist
High waisted jeans and leggings for sure
If wearing a lower waist band, I try to wear a button down shirt or blouse tucked in so that there's a slimming vertical line going down my torso!
In general I find dresses more flattering than separates
Sleeves that show wrists and slightly off the shoulder tops to show collar bones, to suggest bony-ness somewhere on my body Grin
Long scarves worn loose with an open coat or jacket
Belts worn at narrowest point of body, not around hips

In general I find Cos to be a great brand for clothes that disguise your tummy.

Thanks @Daffodil2018 off to look at Cos!

Wrap dresses work for me. Ruching in the stomach area and small print are bonus points.

Thanks @Viviene !

There's also a few dresses out at the moment in this sort of style - with ties at the front - which is super flattering:

Have a look at Joe brown, some of there stuff is a bit old, but there wrap dresses are really nice.

stanski · 21/10/2019 23:35

Thanks @Kaz2200 never heard of it before but really like some of their dresses! Will be giving this a go for sure!
