Best facial oil for dehydrated skin?

Menopausal, dry, lined skin. I use oil at night only.
I normally use Clarins Blue Orchid but wonder if I should have a change?
Kiel's Midnight gets good reviews but would love some recommendations.
Budget £40 tops.

If you're dehydrated you need moisture not oil. Get a good hyaluronic acid serum and use your oil to seal in the moisture

I've just bought Aldi's rose & pomegranate facial oil which seems to be doing as good a job as my more expensive one. But yes to the above poster's advice too.

I do use a serum then put oil on top, but happy to be corrected.
Any of this magic in brands that I've heard of?

We don't have an Aldi locally, so whatever I chose will have to be bought online.

Have a look at The Ordinary hyaluronic acid serum, Buffet serum, and rose hip oil is great for older skin.

Save yourself £££ and get some rosehip oil. Fab stuff.

I also have dehydrated skin and use a Dr Organic rose oil .. it's great

I’ve recently discovered Prickly Pear oil. Nigella recommended it. It smells fab u lous and does the trick. Victoria Health had run out so I got it from elsewhere, but it’s not expensive.

Mine is an organic one from a brand called Sukin. Think I got it from Look Fantastic. The Ordinary do a reasonably priced bottle too. I rub a few drops into my face and neck at night. Been using it for 3 months and my skin looks noticeably better.

Thanks all. I've been online looking for hydrolauric and bought a brand called Super Facialist ( oil and Retinol night cream). It's on offer at Boots.

Pure almond oil from Holland and Barrett is lovely for dry skin

Rosehip is for skin just starting to show signs of ageing.
You can't beat pure Argan, or Avocado for older or dry skin, but neither smell good.
The best for ageing skin is Frankincense (check out Neal's Yard)
Depending on the type of moisturiser you have, your oil should go after it, or before it.
And remember anything with hyaluronic in needs to go on damp skin or it has the opposite effect.

I like the Sunday Riley ones - never actually bought as very very pricey but if I am in the region of a cosmetics department I will smother my hands with it! One day maybe..

The Sukin rosehip oil is lovely - better than Clarins and about a third of the price, or less. Often on offer in Boots.

Am I the only one for whom hyoluronic doesn’t work? It seems to leave a sticky unpleasant film on my skin.

For facial oil I use Boots Botanics.

missy- unfortunately that's the texture of hyaluronic- it's horrible I agree. I did find the Vichy 89 one wasn't as slimy as The Ordinary, and better still if you pat it onto damp skin. It does hydrate I think but that's all a hyaluronic will do, kind of a super harged moisture magnet

I've just remembered another oil that I've repeat purchased before- the Body Shop oils of life This really plumps skin.

At the end of the day in my opinion and having always suffered from dry skin I believe what suits one will not suit another. I have tried a few of the facial oils being recommended here and nothing really makes a difference. Nothing seems to give me that long lasting feeling of my face being well moisturised and the only way I cope with it is by smearing moisturiser on my face several times a day.

The oil is fine, a nice rose smell but nothing out of the ordinary however I rate the night cream, my skin is definitely a bit plumper. Thanks so much for the Hyaluronic advice.
Any experts on dark circles, that's my next target?
